Preview: Biodiversity + Business Live: Leaders Accelerating Action

More than 100 business leaders from across the UK will gather in Edinburgh next week to turn ambition on biodiversity into action.
Co-delivered by JNCC, UKBBF and NatureScot, our joint aim for the summit is clear: to translate global scientific insight into tangible action to build long-term business resilience across the UK economy.
The day will consist of morning technical and practical Working Dialogue sessions led by the UKBBF. In the afternoon, we will collectively examine how nature-positive leadership can create long-term value and resilience, inform strategic decision-making and enable collaboration at scale.
The expected outcomes are:
- Strengthened cross-sectoral UK leadership narrative towards CBD COP17
- Progress on the UKBBF’s Working Dialogues and agreed priority areas for next steps
- Momentum towards establishing a Business Leaders Forum
- Increased visibility and uptake of UKBBF’s Nature Positive Business Pledge
- which aims to help businesses halt and reverse biodiversity loss
- Strengthened Scottish business support for nature positive action
- Business reflections for UK Government ahead of CBD COP17, through
- networking
