First meeting of the taskforce dedicated to supporting UKBBF members on the identification and potential piloting on biodiversity metrics.  Exclusive to members, join here to receive details of this and other membership benefits.

The taskforce aims to support UKBBF members better understand the potential use of biodiversity metrics, including the identification and piloting of metrics. It will create a space for members to share lessons learnt, get updates on latest developments and thinking and help support good practice.

For businesses, there are an increasing number of nature-related disclosures (notably the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures, TNFD, and the EU Corporate
Sustainability Reporting Directive, CSRD), and there will be increasing requirements and expectations for businesses to assess, monitor and report on their impacts and
dependencies on nature. This potentially includes demonstrating progress towards
appropriate targets and specifically the use of biodiversity metrics to assess the potential impacts to inform decision making, to demonstrate progress towards targets or KPIs and, if necessary, disclosure.
