The UK Business & Biodiversity Forum (UKBBF) has announced the return of its premier event, the Biodiversity Summit 2026: Nature positive pathways to 2030.
Taking place across two days on 3rd and 4th November 2026, this marks the second iteration of the landmark summit. Supported by industry-leading partners Arup and Mott MacDonald, the 2026 Summit arrives at a critical juncture for the UK corporate sector as businesses face mounting urgency to translate high-level biodiversity and nature commitments into tangible, bottom-line delivery.
While the conversations around corporate nature targets have matured, the 2026 Summit shifts the focus entirely toward operational execution. The risks of environmental inertia are no longer abstract; recent data from the Green Finance Institute (GFI) warns that nature degradation represents a material threat capable of wiping 12% off UK GDP – an economic shockwave outstripping both the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.
With over 52% of UK banking and insurance assets exposed to sectors with moderate-to-high dependencies on ecosystem services, the Summit is designed as a masterclass in balance-sheet defence, supply chain resilience, and post-COP17 strategic planning.
The two-day agenda is split across two venues:
- Day 1: The Parliamentary Reception (Palace of Westminster) An exclusive evening networking reception bringing together ministers, CEOs, policy-makers, and sustainability directors to align national policy with private sector mobilization.
- Day 2: The Practical Implementation (Arup London) A full day of high-impact keynotes, strategic panels, and the UKBBF’s interactive Working Dialogues – collaborative workshop sessions designed to help peers build practical frameworks for action.
